Reconciliation or Penance is the Sacrament of Healing through which we receive God’s forgiveness for the sins we have committed after Baptism and we receive His grace to avoid sin. Jesus gave the Church this sacrament (John 20:22-23) “After saying this he breathed on them and said Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone’s sins, they are retained.” Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the words of the priest, our sins are forgiven in this sacrament.
The sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated weekdays before 8:45 am Mass. Reconcilation is also offered on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm. until 7 pm. You can make an appointment with a priest for private Reconciliation.
