Hanover Township - Transportation Services
 Dial-A-Bus Program

• Offered to Township residents ages 55+ and individuals with a permanent disability ages 18+
• Operates Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
• Advanced reservations are required and should be made at least 24 hours in advance
• Suggested donation of $1 one way; $2 round trip
• Transporation is provided for medical appointments, personal business, grocery shopping, regulary scheduled trips to shopping malls, the Senior Center, Mass and other destinations.
• Riders are picked up curbside and transported throughout the Township and up to five miles beyond the Township boundaries.
• ADA compliant for transporting adult residents with disabililties

Trip: Township Riders Initiative Program

• Offers inter-township transportation for medical purposes for individuals ages 60+ and individuals with a permanent disability ages 18+
• Provides service beyond Township boundaries, to select townships and select large hospital systems.
• Operates Monday - Friday, 5 am to 9 pm and Saturday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Cost of these trips do not exceed $10 one way

TIDE: Ticket to Ride Taxi Voucher Program

Available for residents 16+ years, who have a physical, cognitive (mental) or developmental condition that interferes in at least one "major life activity". For the purpose of TIDE, the "major life activity" is the ability to be self-transporting (make arrangements for and travel by one's self) over distances. The TIDE Ticket to Ride Voucher is available for cab rides to/from work or job training only.

The TIDE Ticket to Ride program will provide transporation to work sites up to 7 miles outside the boundaries of Hanover Township. For more information on the TIDE program and other transportation services available, please contact the Mental Health Board Coordinator at 630-837-0301.
